DARK STATIONS

What if the dead began riding the London Underground?

When a grieving father sees the ghost of his daughter on the Tube, he follows her into Dark London—a shadow version of the city ruled by Grief.

Now he must confront the guilt that haunts him and rescue her from an afterlife she was never meant to enter… before he fades into a ghost himself.

But in Dark London, far more is at stake than he ever imagined.

A haunting urban fantasy about grief, redemption, and the love between a father and daughter that refuses to die.

Dark Stations is a gripping, imaginative, and surprisingly heartfelt supernatural adventure set beneath the streets of London. What begins as a chilling urban mystery soon becomes something deeper… a story about love, grief, courage, and the fierce need to keep searching when the world tells you to let go.

D. P. Martinez blends dark fantasy, sharp humour, and emotional storytelling beautifully. The London setting feels alive, eerie, and wonderfully original, while Matt’s voice brings warmth and wit even in the middle of danger.

This was such a compelling and beautifully written story. One of the standout elements for me was the war between the grief queen and the wrath viking—those emotional battles felt raw, powerful, and I was deeply invested. The author brings a lot of unique ideas to the table, and I found myself really drawn into the world and its atmosphere.

The writing itself was a highlight; so many of the analogies were striking and memorable, adding depth and texture to the narrative. And that ending—honestly, it landed so well and left me feeling satisfied.

Overall, a really strong and engaging read with a lot of emotional depth and originality.
